Introduction

So I'm starting this blog because I used to be a pretty avid blogger. Actually, I used to be a lot of things - a runner, an amateur photographer, a food fanatic, a cook, a swimmer. Today I am first and foremost a mom to a beautiful bundle of joy named Madeleine or Mads - as a close girlfriend of mine has nicknamed her.

Being a mom is the single most difficult things I've ever done in my life - it's also brought me the greatest joy I've ever felt. I had no idea how much work having a baby would be. We took a gazillion child care classes, breastfeeding classes, read numerous books, watched countless videos... no matter how much prepare for it, you won't ever be fully prepared for the craziness that goes into raising a child - and I'm only 6 months in.

First some intros before I dive into baby topics.

J (Justin) - the love of my life, my partner in crime, the single person that I depend on every day to keep my sanity. I knew early on in our relationship that I could depend on him for most everything. And as cliche as it may sound, he is my home. Without him, there would be no baby.

M (Madeleine) - our crazy, amazing, happy, bouncy baby girl. The inspiration for this blog. She has become my 'raison d'etre'.
